Selling Webcam Content

Where to Sell your webcam content

Before we even get started, I’d like to congratulate you on mastering the art of filming your first clip. In fact, take a second to just take that hand, pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for being a master of the universe.

Now that the hard part is over of filming and editing your clip, it’s time to answer the million dollar question.

Where the F*&!$ Do I sell them?

There are going to be a lot of sites that will pop up in your peripherals, and it can be hard to figure out which site to choose. My best advice to you? Try them all out. Worst case, you don’t do well on all the sites, but you find one that works and that you like using. Best case? You sell a million clips, become an overnight sensation and can go sailing through Ibiza while collecting your hundreds of thousands in passive income.

Keep in mind while reading this that not all clip sites are created equal. Should I say it again? Not. All. Clip sites. Are. Created. Equal. (Just wanted to make sure that you really understand this before you upload all your clips and wonder why they aren’t selling.) There will be times where one of your clips is selling phenomenally but another one tanks. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad clip. It just means that sites traffic leans towards one type of style over another.

(Side Note: Please make sure to always read everything including the contracts and the TOS before signing up to any website. It is SO important to protect yourself and your content.)

Before we get into the nitty-gritty, it’s important to note that you can and should sell your clips while you’re online. I highly recommend this because it’s easy and it’s extra money. If you decide to sell this way, you’re going to need a good hosting site. Right out of the gate, I’m going to let you know that most video hosting sites are not adult friendly, so always make sure you’re reading the Terms of Service before signing up. ALWAYS. A free hosting site for your videos is ProjectMaenad. It is in beta, but works wonderfully and is run by a former cam model. You can create links to send out clips, make them password protected, limited/number of downloads, and you can also create a public profile page for yourself. It’s easy to use, and support is very helpful and efficient. At the moment, ProjectMaenad is not able to process payments, so if you use this site make sure you have an alternate payment option available. It’s also important to note that this site does not have it’s own traffic, so if you’re using it to sell videos you will have to market, market, market.

As far as actual “stores” you can sell your videos in, I’m going to be focusing on the two main sites that are well known, have a great reputation and have the ability to make you a nice chunk of passive income if you work it right.

The two sites that, in my opinion, are the most well known are: Manyvids.com and Clips4Sale

Let’s start with Manyvids. That’s the site that I use, and I love it. It’s completely free to sign up and is so user friendly. Literally, all you need to do is go to their site and there will be a button that asks you if you’d like to sign up to be “An MV Girl.” (The answer is YESSS! Do it!)

One of the coolest aspects of ManyVids is that they run a continuous contest for the top 20 MV Girls every month. Basically, if you’re in the top 20 of sales, then you get a bonus. First place takes home $1200! They also run special contests for Valentines Day, etc. that are a fun way to get guys voting for you, and promote your store at the same time.

Manyvids is definitely more of a social platform than some of the other clip sites that you will run into. In my experience, the more that you interact with the members and the other models, the better you will do. That means such things as; liking profiles, leaving comments, messaging back and forth with the guys. Treat it like a social media and start building those bridges, baby.

Along with uploading and selling videos, you can also sell Skype Shows, Snapchat/KIK, Custom Videos, and create an entire storefront of tangible goods. (Bras, Panties, “pay for my dinner”.. you get the idea.)

The Payout percentage is 60/40, with you taking home the 60%, and they payout twice a month on the 1st and the 16th.

Now onto Clips4Sale. I don’t have much personal experience with Clips4sale, so for research purposes as well as keeping my honor in tact while I dish out this advice, I’m going to sign up for the site right now and we can learn together. It seems, from other models experience, that this site does extremely well with fetish clips. If you take a look at the studios and what they offer, there is everything from sneezing clips to brushing your hair. (Thank God we all have a reason to keep the camera running now. Sick doesn’t mean NO pay! Holla’!)

Clips4Sale differs from Manyvids, in the fact that it gives you the ability to upload clips in multiple ways which maximizes the number of views that it will receive. You can have a Clip Store, DVD Store, Image Store and a Membership Site all under the same name. In order to start uploading you will need to have 10 clips, and for images you will need to have 5 zipfiles with 20 images minimum in each.

One cool feature is that they have an email list, where you can add customers who would like to be on it and blast them with mass emails. Seems like this would be a great way to get independent shows, custom vids or let them know about upcoming things and generate sales. The Payout Percentage is 60/40 or 75/25 depending on what type of store it is, and payouts are sent on the 7th of each month for the month prior. Both ManyVids and Clips4Sale have their own traffic, which is a HUGE plus. Add that to the traffic you can bring if you market it correctly across your social media and you’ll be sailing in Ibiza in no time. (Ibiza trip not guaranteed, results may vary.) Are you interested in selling more tangible goods? like panties etc? That’s always a great additional revenue stream.

Webcam Studios Vs Direct Signup

If you surf around the internet trying to find a good webcam company to signup with, you can often be running across many different recruiter style sites. Sometimes these sites are owned by the company, other times they are owned by recruiters or studios. These are important differences to understand as your commission structure often will vary when you are not signing up directly. When you join via a webcam studio, you need to understand that your payment is being paid to the studio directly, they then take their commission out and pay you after. For Example, if you earn $1000 your first week on webcam, depending on the % deal with your studio, you may only be entitled to $500 of that. You are almost always better off going direct and cutting out studios completely.

Interview with Selena Adams

Getting to know, top webcam model, Selena Adams

What do you normally do when you are on web cam?

Typically, I do a few things to help me stay relaxed while I’m online: I’ll turn on some of my favorite music and dance around, which is always a fan favorite when they get to see me shake my booty; I try to chat with my fans as much as possible and sometimes I have these very interesting conversations with them, you’d be surprised about some of the stuff they talk about; I’ll also turn on the tv and watch some of my favorite shows in the background, you know just to keep up with the season. I try my best to keep my stress level down when I work.

How do you feel when you are working?

I typically feel good, especially when my followers are keeping me active. I do try to avoid logging on when I’m in a bad/sad mood since it affects the energy of the room.

Are you able to easily tell new boyfriends/lovers about your work? If yes, how do they react?

I’m open about what I do and yes I do tell them about my work. Now easily is a different story as they tend to struggle with some jealously. Who wouldn’t be a bit jealous of having their girlfriend be hit on, talked dirty, seeing them on cam and sending them gifts by many fans. But its part of the profession.

How has it changed you in terms of your attitudes to sex and in the bedroom when you are having sex?

When you cam, you get to experience a lot of different things through the fans with what they request and with what they like to show you. And because of this, in my actual relationship have have become more selective with the type of person and what we do in the bedroom.

What are some of the craziest fantasies that guys come up with?

Sometimes, they like to pretend that they are under my bed spying on me while I do my thing. Others like to pretend that their wife/girlfriend are in the next room while they are being naughty with me. Then there is the I’m the wife’s/girlfriend’s friend and you can guess where that leads to.

What is your opinion on the male species after working in the industry?

This is a difficult question. I only get to see a portion of the male behavior through camming and I still haven’t really figured them out. But what I can say, there are a handful of horny men out there.

What is your ultimate fantasy?

Wow, my ultimate fantasy, let me think…. It starts off by me at my front door about to enter my home when suddenly I am grabbed from behind by a man. With my chest against the door, he puts my hands over my head. He begins to kiss my neck and shoulders. He suddenly turns me around and continues to kiss my face, neck, and cleavege area. He then picks me up and I wrap my legs around him. He opens the door and carries me up the stairs as we continue to kiss. He throws me on the bed and begins to strip me down to my bra and panty. I rip open his button shirt causing his buttons to fly every where. I begin to kiss his chest and work my way down to his crotch. I unbutton his jeans and remove them off his body. He grabs my hair and tells me to stand. He looks into my eyes and kisses me right on the lips. He then throws me down on the bed face up and begins to slowly nibble me all over the body. He slowly works his way down from my neck to my chest, removing my bra, kissing my breasts. He begins to suck on my nipples. With every sucking motion I begin to get aroused as my nipples begin to harden. He slowly has my nipples rock hard, he then continues to move down eventually reaching my private area. He teases my vagina on top of my panty. He kisses my inner thighs and at this point I’m so aroused that my vagina is wet and begins to leak through the panty. He then rips off them off… well I’ll let you imagine the rest but lets say we end up making love all night long.

What are the positives from the work and what would you recommend to anyone wanting to get into it?

There are a couple of positives about this work. The first is you can set your own schedule, work when it best suits you. The second is the financial freedom. You can make good money if you are willing to put the effort in it.

Do you have any words of wisdom for girls wanting to become cam models?

For those new models, I have two things to say to them. First, you’re working as an independent contractor so don’t forget to set aside some money so you’re able to pay them taxes when tax season comes along. Second, don’t give up easily. It does take some time to build your fan base so just keep at it. One good piece of advice to keep in touch with your fans is to use one of the various texting apps. I currently use ringhop to stay in contact with my fans nearly 24/7.

What is your proudest accomplishment from being a cam girl?

Everyone has goals that they are trying to accomplish and I have this goal for sometime now that will be my proudest accomplishment once it is completed this year. I don’t want to mention exactly what it is because I don’t want to jinx it before it is done.

What is your favorite food?

Well I got to say that my favorite food is a Bandeja Paisa. For those who don’t know what this is, it’s a traditional Colombian dish that typically contains beans, rice, chicharrón (fried pork belly), carne en polvo( powdered like beef) or grilled beef/pork, chorizo, fried egg, ripe plantain, avocado and arepa. Trust me, if you haven’t tried it, you should.

What is something that rocks your world?

This might be a bit strange for you but it is something that really excites me. When I’m able to pay something off where it now belongs to me, I get aroused to the point I get a bit wet. I guess it’s my fetish.

I love my fans because….

They make my work interesting. Apart from being horny and entertaining, they’re also funny and sweet. They know how to make a girl smile.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

When it comes to work, I have to say beggars – the guys that constantly ask for things for free. Then when I don’t do what they asked for, they get mad at me even though I mention they need to tip or go pvt. Some just don’t understand that this is my source of income and if I give it away then I won’t be able to pay my bills.

First thing I do when I wake up in the morning:

As I wake up in the morning and stretch my naked body out across my bed, I try to figure out what needs to be done today. If I don’t have anything to do, I just get ready for work. But if I have things to do, I finish those first then I get ready for work. I try to make this a daily ritual so I don’t let things pile up.

The last thing I do before falling asleep:

My nightly ritual, which sometimes I do wearing just shorts/panties or even sometimes completely naked, is go into my bathroom, look in the mirror, give myself some words of encouragement, remove my makeup and brush my teeth before I jump into bed to recharge my battery.

Getting Started on becoming a cam model

Getting Started Being A Webcam Model – What To Do First:

So you want to be a cam model? Now that you’ve made that decision, it’s time to get yourself all set up. If you don’t already have high speed internet, it’s time to upgrade. Your internet speed plays a big factor in your ranking on almost every cam site. To test your current internet speed, run a speed test at www.speedtest.net. The main thing you’re gonna want to look at is your upload speed. If it’s below 1.0 Mbps, you’re gonna want to upgrade to something faster. This will not only make your cam stream run smoothly, but it will also reduce the delay in your chat room when interacting with fans.

The next step is getting a laptop or desktop computer that can run the software needed to cam. Every cam site has their own software, and there’s even additional webcam software that you can download from the internet. Some are more advanced than others, and require a faster computer. If your computer remains near 100% CPU or lags when running your camming software, it may be time to upgrade. A computer with an i7 processor (or it’s equivalent) and 3 GB of RAM or more is recommended for optimal performance. If possible, it’s also a good idea to use a wired connection. It’s usually faster, and much more reliable that going wireless. To setup a wired connection, you just connect your computer to your modem or router using an ethernet cable.

We can’t forget about the webcam itself! Even if you have a newer laptop with a built-in camera, you aren’t going to get the quality that you get with an external webcam. Aside from that, it’s nice to be able to pick up and move your camera around for some shows. There are two webcams that every established cam model will recommend. The first is the Logitech C920. You can pick one up on Amazon for around $70-$75. It’s a great camera that shoots in full 1080p HD. If you’re looking for a camera with some extra features, the Logitech BCC950 Conference Cam is a great option. This camera also shoots in full 1080p HD. One of the perks of this camera is the remote control that it comes with. With the remote, you can move your camera in all directions and zoom in and out without having to physically move your whole camera. It has a noise-cancelling microphone built into it, so your fans will be able to hear you loud and clear even if you’re moving around, dancing, far away, etc. This cam is a bit more expensive though. On Amazon, it will run you around $200.

So you’ve done all the upgrades, but your cam stream is still looking dark or grainy. Good lighting can make all the difference! Natural lighting is great if you’re camming during the day, but professional lighting works just as well… day or night! You can find inexpensive, professional webcam lighting on Amazon. There’s some decent ones on there for around $50. When positioning your lights, you’ll want to place your light sources in front of you, behind your webcam. This way it’ll light up your face and make you look vibrant. You may need to adjust the height or position of your lights to prevent glare, especially if you wear glasses. But with just a little tinkering, you’ll be able to get it just right. Never use fluorescent lighting! You may think it’ll work well because of how bright it can be, but it’s very unflattering on cam.

Well, those are the basics! Now you are ready to select a webcam site to work on.

Her fans love her willingness to please and her caring disposition, which is why she’s been asked for her hand in marriage from fans not once but twice last year. Aside from her earnings as a cam girl, fans have gifted her enough high-end clothing to fill the free Mercedes-Benz she received as a present.  She’s currently building her dream house in Miami with a second investment property on the horizon. Camming can be an incredibly lucrative and fun way to earn major dollars and these top earners have the designer bags and dream houses to prove it.

To Film or not to film? That is the question…

Income Generation from Filming Videos

There comes a time in every cam girls life where she has to ask herself one simple question.

“To Film or Not to Film.”

Sounds easy enough, right?

The truth of the matter is that deciding to take the dive and film clips can be ridiculously intimidating. “What do I use? What type of content should I make? Do I have to pay for a decent video editor?” So many questions to consider. Luckily, they all have pretty simple answers. So if that’s you hiding in the corner, shying away from putting that beautiful booty on film, it’s time to stand up, step out into the limelight and conquer baby, because we’ve got this on lock.

Where Do I start?

Let’s start with the basics. If you’re new to making clips, chances are you haven’t invested in a top of the line video camera, and that is OKAY. Using the same camera that you use to cam with should do the trick, as long as you have decent lighting. Personally, I use my Logitech C920 for everything, and it hasn’t failed me yet. (Note: Lighting is the key to making your videos look high quality. If you can’t afford to purchase a kit, take 3 floor lamps and put one on each side of the cam, and one directly behind it.) If you can spare a few dollars for a lighting kit, you can find nice quality and affordable priced ones on Amazon. (Wish List anyone?)

Okay, phew. Step one down.

So what’s next?

The next step is a beast to which many a cam girl has had to conquer in her quest to making the perfect clip, and that beast is content.

What the Hell do I make?

You’d think that after spending hours a day diddling yourself and playing perfect fantasy to people online, that this part would be easy, breezy, beautiful…but if you’re anything like me, than you like to over-think and over-analyze every possible situation and this becomes a task that can be the most daunting.

First off, trust me when I say there is a person out there for everything. (Sick? Film that snotty nose, girl and make you some money!) Take a second and think about what your favorite thing to do is during a show. Maybe, you’re the straight missionary get ‘er done type, or perhaps you lean towards being a savant of the Jerk Off Instruction. Whatever your style is, roll with it. The best content is going to be made when you’re comfortable and confident in the product that you’re putting out.If you’re still struggling about figuring out what to film, I recommend setting up your cam, hitting play and then getting yourself off like it’s your birthday. (Go Shawty…) Why? One, because you deserve it. Two, because at the end of that glorious orgasm, you will have a clip that needs barely any edits and you can sell it as “Hidden Cam”. BOOM.

(Side Note: Sometimes, when I have a hard time thinking of new ideas, I will run a special on custom videos. That way, I let my fans think up the content for me, get upfront payment and then turn around and re-sell for maximum profits.)

Okay, so… you’ve got the cam and the lighting. You’ve filmed the content. Now what?

Next, my dears, is editing. There are hundreds of video editing tools that you can use, and honestly, most of the ones that are worth a damn will cost you some money, but invest a little to make a lot, am I right? (Plus a tax write off! HOLLA’!)

However, for arguments sake, and so that this article doesn’t turn into a dissertation, we’re going to keep it to the basics.

Windows User: Windows Movie Maker
Mac User: iMovie

These are both free editors that will get the job done, and let you put out a decent project. If you’re not familiar with how these work, there are tons of video tutorials on youtube, and both programs are fairly easy to learn. A couple of quick snips where you need it, along with a nice intro, and you’re good to go!

As far as watermarking goes, in Windows Movie Maker there is technically no way to watermark. However, the simple fix is to click on “caption” (under edit) and change the length of the caption to fit the length of your video. Then you type in whatever you want your watermark to be (ex: Selene Adams) and voila! Your clip is “watermarked.”

iMovie watermarking is a more labor intensive process that involves a series of steps. The short and skinny of it is you need to create an image of your watermark to import into iMovie. You can go to macworld.com and they list it out for you Watermarking on iMovie will have the step by step instructions (with pictures!) If you’re using music in any part of your clips, be careful about what type of music you use. Believe it or not, it’s a big no no to use music without permission. Don’t worry, this is an easy fix! A simple Google search for “Royalty Free Music” and you should be able to find some that you can use without worrying about The Fuzz knocking on your door.

Still with me? Good.

You might think you’re done at this point. You’ve filmed the content, edited the video, so what else could there be? When you’re in your final steps of saving the video you just edited, you need to think about the following question. What Format Should I be saving this clip? …I’m so glad you asked! The most widely used format is MP4, so always try and save your content in this format. WMV and MOV are also both popular, so those are good secondary versions to keep on a hard drive. (Did I mention that you should invest in a hard drive? Clips take up a ton of space, and in honor of trying to make computers fast and streams glitch free, it’s best to keep everything on an external hard drive.)

Pick whichever format you’d like and click save. That’s it! You’re done! You’ve made your first clip! Congratulations!

Now go out there and sell it to the world, BB.

Why Social Media is so important for webcam models

Enhancing your fan base and your wallet with social media

Did you know that there are women making six figure incomes using social media sites like Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and Kik? Seem like an impossible task? It’s actually easier than you think.
Creating a strong social media presence is as important as turning on your camera for your cam show. You want to build yourself up as a brand—a bankable brand. Having lots of followers can lead to endorsements, ad sales, affiliate sales, or in some cases, a modeling contract.

If you’re new to the social media game it can seem intimidating to jump in. It’s best to start with the most adult friendly platforms like Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram. Instagram isn’t entirely adult content friendly but they’ll make exceptions if you censor your images (i.e. use Emojis to cover your nipples).

Instagram is far and away the best platform for becoming a ‘fit tea girl’ which is an Instagramer insider joke for women who promote detox teas and waist trainers. Those girls make serious money advertising weight loss products and exercise gear. Other girls use Instagram to show off their favorite lingerie or swimsuits and get paid to promote the brands they love.

How do they do it? First, they amass a large following, then they tag their favorite companies in their photos and mention them in their captions. The companies will often times reach out to the cam girl and offer either a discount on their product, an affiliate code, or they’ll pay for a sponsored post. Sponsored posts make anywhere from $30-$1,000 which means you post the brand’s picture for an hour and then take it down. Some girls will leave the posts up but other girls don’t like to be so blatant in their advertising.

Advertising other brands isn’t the only thing Instagram is good for. It’s also a great way to advertise your shows (and your other social media outlets.) You don’t want to make a habit of posting solely about your upcoming shows, but a flirty photo and a link to your cam site (in your bio) could be a great way to drive traffic to your show.

If posting photos of your everyday life to make money isn’t your thing, then consider joining Twitter. Twitter is a great tool for promoting your shows and showing off your, ahem, assets. A lot of girls set their Twitter account to private and charge money to their fans during cam shows to unlock access to their Twitter account. Cam girls typically charge fans between 100 and 200 tokens for access to their Twitter account.

Snapchat is another great social media tool for making money or building up your brand. Snapchat stories allows you to piece together a daily story showcasing your life which is something your fans will definitely be interested in seeing. There’s even a program called Snapcash. Snapcash allows fans to send you money directly through Snapchat. So if a fan wants to talk to you, you can charge them via Snapcash.Because Snapchat is a no-holds-barred venue for cam girls to connect directly with their fans there are tons of forums where you can find potential fans looking to interact with cam girls. The only problem with Snapcash is that some fans will cancel payment directly after they request a photo or chat with a girl. It happens frequently on Paypal and other money transfer services as well, so be wary of new customers.

The fourth social media platform you should jump on if you’re a cam girl is KIK. You can chage your fans to talk to you on KIK and have one on one conversation. It’s an easy way to make your fans feel connected to you, which typically equates to larger tips in future shows.

No matter what social media platform you choose to use (and really you should choose all of them) you need to be extremely consistent. Post everyday, at least three times a day to all your accounts and vary your posts. No one that’s paying for unique content wants to see the same selfie on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. Give your customers some variety and they’ll be followers for a lifetime. The most important aspect of any social media campaign is to think of yourself as a brand. Don’t post things that are off topic or too sales-pitchy. It’s ok to talk about yourself and tell people what time you’ll be camming, but they want to see you as a human being, not just another face selling a product. Ingratiate yourself with the fans, make them care about you, and soon you’ll be raking in the tokens.

Investing 101 for Cam Models

Investing your webcam money

The first rule of investing: you’re never too young to invest. Investing can seem awfully intimidating with all that financial jargon but once you break it down it’s pretty simple to understand.
Most cam girls invest to make a little money on the side, or bulk up their savings for retirement, or to beat inflation. If you’re already setting aside money in a savings account you’re ahead of the game, but unfortunately, that money is just sitting there earning less than 1% when it could be making you more money.

The first thing you should look into is investing your retirement savings. This is more than just naming your saving account “retirement funds”; you need to put your money into a retirement fund like a 401(k) or an IRA. There are three main types of IRAs: Traditional, Roth, and Rollover. Each has its own advantage.

In a traditional IRA you make contributions to your account with money you might be able to deduct on your tax return. Potentially your earnings can grow tax-deferred until you withdraw them for retirement. A lot of retirees find themselves in a lower tax bracket than they were while they were working so the tax-deferral means your money might be taxed at a lower rate.

With a Roth IRA you make contributions with money you’ve already paid taxes on. If you meet certain conditions (your bank will be able to go into detail about the conditions you need to meet) you could have tax-free withdrawals in retirement.

Finally a Rollover IRA is a Traditional IRA intended for money that has rolled over from a retirement plan. This means you would take money from an employer-sponsored plan such as a 401(k) or a 403(b) and move it into an IRA.

So why would you need an IRA? For starters your savings have the potential to grow or compound faster than they would in a taxable account. Even if you have a 401(k) from an employer you will still need up to 85% of your pre-retirement income in retirement and that 401(k) may not cut it.

An IRA will help you supplement your current savings, take advantage of tax-deferred or tax-free growth, and help you gain access to a wider range of investment choices.

If you use your IRA to dabble in investments that are out of the mainstream (meaning you go off the beaten path from the typical offerings of banks and mutual funds) you’re going to want to do some serious research beforehand. For example, some people buy coins with their IRA. Lots of people buy gold and silver coins because they’ve been measurements of value for thousands of years.
Coins tend to be stable when stock markets crash or inflation soars but that’s not to say the price of gold and silver doesn’t fluctuate, because they do. A lot of mainstream IRA custodians such as banks and mutual funds don’t offer coins as an IRA option. IRS regulations require storage be overseen by a custodian but custodians don’t have to offer this service. The same holds true for precious metal bullions like gold or silver bars. IRAs allow for metals such as gold, silver, palladium, and platinum to be purchased with an IRA but many financial advisors say it doesn’t
perform over time and probably isn’t worth the hassle of getting it appraised and valued every year.

If you’re a first time investor your safest bet is to invest in mutual funds. Professional investors collect groups of securities and you can invest in these funds without picking every individual stock or bond yourself. This lets you diversify your portfolio without worrying about which stock to pick. Which leads us to the most important rule of investing: diversify. You never want to put all your eggs in one basket. That’s the quickest way to lead to financial disaster. Always diversify your investments because you never know what stocks will fall and what stocks will rise.

Try not to jump on the stock of the moment, otherwise known as hot stocks. There’s always a stock that’s generating buzz but it’s better to research the company that’s being buzzed about than to jump on the stock of the moment and buy a ton of it. If you do play the stock game don’t let the morning news dictate whether you should buy or sell. Active investing (buying and selling stocks strategically and frequently) doesn’t work for most people and it’s not always a sound investment.

Don’t get wrapped up in a stock for sentimental purposes. If a stock performed well in its past performances but the security is falling, you have to be willing to let go. Securities are only as a good as how they’re currently performing, so be prepared to let go of a stock that may have been good for awhile but has turned bad. It’s also bad to get caught up in checking the stock ticker all day as markets and stocks go up and down every day. And never invest money you need fast access to. Experts suggest you should never invest money you’ll need within five years because if the market goes down you won’t recoup those costs.

Securities, IRAs, and investing can be overwhelming and risky so it’s always best to consult a professional. There are tons of great resources out there that will help you invest your money wisely.
