This company is one that I have been wanting to get a job with, and now that I’ve done it for a while, I’m sure you are wondering…was it worth the wait? Is this a site you should use at your own risk? Keep reading for the answer and what I thought about being a cam girl on this site with my Streamate review.

About Streamate – Should You Make a New Account?
Streamate is a popular website for people who like to watch women, men, and even trans women perform on cam. There is a large community here for both models and users.
At Streamate, there are a variety of services, which include live streaming, paid shows, and other features, and there is a lot of focus on the user experience and the security features on the site.
I decided to use the site because I saw that it had high reviews compared to others I had tried, and I’m already ready to cam thanks to my new and improved in-home studio, and claims that you could make a lot of money here. I did notice that there were some complaints here on the BBB website, but they were from users, not from cam models, so I figured it was pretty safe to try.
That being said, I looked on other sites, and some members reported some issues with the platform including delays in payment and blocked accounts. Really, I see this on most sites I work on, so this wasn’t a big deal for me.
I was looking for a new platform that catered to cam girls and adult models. I wanted to meet new friends and, of course, earn some money. So, I signed up and got started with Streamate.
Getting Started on Streamate – Can You Make Money?
To get started on Streamate, you need to create a new account, and then verify your identity. This is the normal process on every site I’ve worked on, and they ask for documents like your driver’s license to prove that you are 18 and able to work.
There are strict rules here for both models and clients on the site. They can refuse to let you work there if you don’t follow the rules, so don’t make that mistake if you really want to make money. You can get your account banned, and many performers do get their accounts banned…essentially for not following the rules.
Once I was all signed up as a model, I was able to start offering shows. From the moment I started, I knew that free shows were the way to go so I could start building up an audience. Some cam girls don’t ever offer free shows, but I think that’s a mistake. When you speak to people, when you respond to their questions, and when you talk and discuss things with them while streaming, they are much more likely to pay for a gold show.
As a model, I found that the site was pretty user-friendly, and it was simple to use. When the traffic started happening, and people were making transactions, it was easy to see a log of that and get an overview of what you are making. Every time I did a broadcast, I was seeing new people watching.
I will say this — people want a good show. Use your toys, use your imagination, don’t be rude or treat people like children….unless that’s what they want, LOL. The majority of users I interacted with were great.
Earning Potential on Streamate
I can already see the comments here…can you make money on Streamate? Yes. I definitely did, but it really depends on a number of factors. You see, I’m not new to this, so if you are looking to start camming, and you’ve never done it before, you might not have the same experience.
Most of the money I made here came from paid shows, and the site offers a number of tools and features that helped me with that. I also earned some money on tips. People will look at prices, so make sure that you are giving your viewers what they want.
Streamate does take a commission on model earnings. Keep that in mind. They advertise that you can make $10,000 a week. Maybe some people do, but I never did. However, I was definitely over a couple of grand several weeks I was really focusing on the site. Oh, and I also want to mention that the company also offers a ton of cash bonuses and incentives for models who can attract new users and keep a large following.
Cam Girl Experience – What’s It Like
I’m sure at this point you want to know what my experience was like here at Streamate. I’ve shared how to set up, how to make money, and more, but what is a business like this really like?
First, I want to let you know that I have had a pretty good experience here, but I did read some Streamate reviews where cam girls complained a lot about their negative experiences. So, let’s break that down a little bit.
To me, it seems like an opportunity like this is going to be positive or negative depending on what you put into it. If you think that you can just go through the verification process and start pulling in funds that will permanently let you quit your day job, you probably won’t have a positive experience.
You need to put on shows, build up your ratings, and fulfill the needs of your viewers. If you do things like reply, show you care, put out good content, and learn from your mistakes, I think you will get plenty of success here.
Alternatively, if you show up unprepared with poor-quality equipment, don’t seem like you enjoy yourself, charge huge fees for content, and come around with a chip on your shoulder, you won’t do well.
All of that aside, I saw a lot of mixed experiences when I looked at different reviews from girls on Streamate. Most of the models here reported that they felt supported by the platform and respected by the site and the users here. If they needed help, Streamate was happy to assist. Others, however, claimed that the users here were nasty and mean, or that they felt like the behavior of users bordered on abuse and that Streamate didn’t offer any protection.
A couple of reviews said that Streamate was just a bunch of scammers and that the models felt scammed because Streamate took part of their pay. Well, that’s how this works, buttercup. You perform on a site that gives you a place to perform to a built in audience who is willing to pay, and, in turn, they take a percentage of your earnings. It’s like that everywhere. I don’t mean to be snarky, but if you have found a site that DOESN’T do this, let me know, because I want to check it out.
I found that I felt very safe working with Streamate and to me, I felt like they take model safety very seriously. They have a strong moderation system in place, they will block users who get rough or nasty, and I had to use customer support a couple of times, and it went very well.

Website Security and Safety – Safe or Use at Your Own Risk?
In my opinion, Streamate takes website security and safety very seriously. They have a number of different measures in place to protect both users and models. There is encryption and other security measures in place, too, which helps to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access to your account.
Does that mean no one has ever been hacked here? Probably not, but they would need to steal or be given information to do this.
In addition to this, as I mentioned, there are a lot of rules here. They are meant to prevent harassment and other types of abuse. If someone breaks the rules, they will be blocked from using the site.
Some people have reported having technical issues here. There are other issues with the site, too, that some report has complicated their safety. Again, I didn’t experience this at all.
Finally, there are tools and resources to help you stay safe here, which I think is a good touch. The site offers tips and advice for those who use it, and I think using those tips are important. In general, I think this type of work is very safe, but there are some weirdos out there, so better to be safe, than sorry.
Payment and Payouts – How Much Can You Make?
Now for the good stuff — getting paid. Every model looks forward to payday, and here at Streamate, there are several ways that you can access your pay. The company pays each week, and depending on where you are located, you might have different options. I know here in the US, you can get a check, echeck, bank transfer, etc.
I never had an issue getting payment, but again, I saw that other models had a problem here or there. This happens on every platform. I think location has something to do with it, and the fact that people don’t always set up their payments correctly.
You can easily track your earnings, see what you made when, and make a change if you need to. The company says their models make from $200 to $10,000 per week. I had very good weeks here, but again, I never made $10,000.
Streamate Community – Who is Here?
There are models and users from all over the world here. This is a large and active community, and as long as you do what you are supposed to, your videos and shows will get a lot of views and responses. This is especially true if you have based your streams on what your viewers want to see. Though there is no guarantee, I definitely saw more people watching me and paying to watch when I did what they wanted me to do.
Oftentimes, users will try to chat with you or message you, and they aren’t shy about asking for what they want to see. You can set your rate for your streams and private chats or shows. Again, if you are worried about safety, I get it. Just report any strange behavior, and they will remove the person doing it. Some people have said the response is slow, but I never had an issue. with this.
Another thing I like about this site is that there are plenty of tools and resources that help you get involved and engaged with the community. They offer special events, contests, and more.
My Final Thoughts – Should You Become a Streamate Model?
Overall, I thought Streamate was decent. Is it my favorite streaming site? No. I make more on other sites, but that doesn’t mean I won’t use it again, or that I don’t recommend it. I thought that it was easy to connect with viewers here, I was able to receive my payment quickly and without complications, and though I have a lot of experience working for these sites, I didn’t think it will be too hard to get started, even if you are new.
As with any site, I understand that not everyone will be happy here. I recommend giving it a try, though. It’s free to sign up, it’s fairly easy to get started, and there are very few requirements to start streaming. If you have a camera, an internet connection, and a computer, you can get started. I do, however, recommend that you have some type of studio space for the best results. You can set up the room or area however you want, and it will serve as your own “office.” Also, it comes across to users that you are more professional and serious about your work.
I do recommend Streamate, though it’s best to go in with an open mind. Happy camming!
